“This school has some excellent teachers and an excellent principal. I have one preschooler, 2 kindergarden, and 1 in 2nd grade. They also have some wonderful voluteers as well as the crossing guard 'Doris'” This review was posted by a parent.

“My son is a fifth grader and we have been at Callaway Elementary since second grade. Its a great campus with above average, stable staff and teachers. Principal Hooper is awesome and really cares about the kids. I like his firm approach to discipline where the students and parents are involved. I've been a regular volunteer and on the PTO and have to say we have had an overall experience that has been a positive one for my son as well as myself. Callaway Elementary feels like home and we will miss it next year when we move on to middle school. As hard as the teachers worked with what seemed like impossible learning programs last year- it seem impossible that we dropped a grade! Mary Ellen Cassidy” This review was posted by a parent.

“Callaway has been a great resource from my child's education. He transferred there from Bay Haven and since he has been at Callaway he has had great encouragement and involvement with his teacher and classmates. Miss Goodwin is a firm loving teacher that the kids love. She is very smart and able to get on the kids level of understanding and my son comes home and blows me away of the things he has learned. I suggested the school to our best friends and they started sending their son their from Bay Haven and have had nothing but positive experiences.” This review was posted by a parent.

“My son is in first grade and is ADHD. He started medication last year as a last resort and I got so much support from the teacher and principal that helped me to deal with this issue. They were patient and understanding and helped my son to really enjoy school and now this year he is doing so well and improving more and more every day. They have great coaches for P.E. and a very good PTO that does a lot of good work. It is a very engaging school and fun to participate with in the regular and special yearly activities. They also really use the fundraising monies for great things like playground equipment and computers and audio/visual equipment the way they should. The only down-side I have found is too much sugary/artificial additives and colors and trans fats in the breakfast foods. Lunches seem good and healthy though.” This review was posted by a parent.
